Aluminum is the workhorse of exterior railings. It doesn’t rust. It doesn’t rot. It doesn’t need repainting every few years. Powder-coated aluminum holds its colour and finish through Eastern Ontario winters without maintenance.
We install aluminum railing systems for front porches, back decks, balconies and exterior staircases. Standard colours are held in stock and offer the fastest turnaround. Custom colours are powder-coated to order.
Aluminum works for most exterior applications. It’s lighter than iron, more durable than wood and more affordable than glass. For contractors building new homes, aluminum exterior railings are the default spec for good reason — they go in fast, they meet code and they don’t generate callbacks.
Aluminum systems are the most cost-effective exterior option. Lead times are shorter than glass or custom iron. If you need exterior railings on a build schedule, aluminum keeps you on track.
Glass exterior railings give you an unobstructed view. Lakefront properties, elevated decks, balconies — anywhere the view is the point, glass gets out of the way.
We install tempered safety glass panels with aluminum or stainless steel posts and hardware. Every system meets Ontario building code for exterior guards. The glass is rated for wind load and impact.
Glass exterior systems cost more than aluminum. The install takes longer. And glass needs occasional cleaning to look its best. But on a lakefront deck or a second-storey balcony, there’s no substitute. Nothing else gives you the same sightline.
Tempered glass handles freeze-thaw without issue. The hardware and posts are the critical spec — stainless steel resists corrosion from salt and moisture.
Most of our exterior railing work is decks and porches. Front porch railings that match the house. Deck railings that meet code and last more than a few seasons.
We install aluminum, glass and wrought iron systems for deck and porch applications. Your deck builder handles the structure. We handle the railing. We coordinate timing with your contractor so we’re not holding up the project.
Building Code Note
Ontario building code requires guards on any deck or porch surface more than 600 mm above grade. Baluster spacing can’t exceed 100 mm. Height requirements depend on the application. Our sales reps confirm code compliance at the quote stage — before manufacturing, not after.
Balcony railings are a safety-critical application. Height, wind load and material durability all matter more on a balcony than a ground-level porch.
We install aluminum and glass systems for residential balconies. Glass is the most common choice — it preserves the view from inside the home and meets code for height and load requirements. Aluminum is the cost-effective alternative when sightlines aren’t the priority.
Every balcony railing system we install meets Ontario building code for guards at elevation. Our sales reps visit the site, confirm measurements and spec the right system for the exposure before we quote.
That’s normal. Exterior applications have more variables than interior — sun exposure, moisture, wind, snow load, code requirements. What works on a covered porch might not be right for a waterfront balcony.

Stairs are the one trade that touches every other trade’s timeline. When we’re late, your flooring guys wait. Your painters wait. Your client calls you asking what’s going on.
We don’t do that. Our sales reps have 70+ years of combined install experience. They catch problems at the quote stage that others miss until install day. You get a schedule you can count on and an install that’s done clean.
A sales rep visits your home or job site to take measurements. No charge.

Aluminum is the most durable low-maintenance option. Powder-coated aluminum resists rust, UV and freeze-thaw cycles. Glass handles the climate well but needs occasional cleaning. Wrought iron requires periodic refinishing to prevent rust.
Yes. We install on existing structures as long as the deck or porch framing is sound. Our sales rep assesses the structure during the site measure.
